Annual Slingshot Party
January 16th 2010
January 16th has come and gone and the last attendee has headed home. Bernie, Paul, Bill, and, Art showed up Friday
morning, where they hooked up with Nitro Neil for the afternoon. The next day, shortly after 1pm the rest of the gang started to
show topping out at about 22. Hot Dogs from NY we
re imported again this year but the real feast was after Pat started to
cook. Hot Wings, 2 Tri Tip beefs and beans.  Everyone ate all night long till it was all gone. I can't remember the last time I ate
so much. It was delicious! Big Thanks goes out to Pat. And lets not forget Last Man Standing award. It had to be shared by
Buffalo Mafia and the South Side Mopar Boys. All in all, it was a great weekend and I thank all the people that participated. It
was good to
see you all. There were a bunch of pictures taken over the weekend and I will be setting up a page and post
them as they come in. So check back soon to check them out.
Feds Forever
Postman
A sad day for Nostalgia Drag Racing and Drag Racing in general. We have lost yet another brother from our ranks. On April 2 2009 Bob
Beedy Jr passed away. At the time of this writing, the details are few, but I am told that it is suspected that his heart gave out on him.
Bobby and his father Bob Sr had been members of the FEDA since the beginning and I considered them to be like family to me and to
many others I'm sure. Bob is survived but his mother Maureen, brother Ray, sisters Paula and Joanne, and girlfriend Donna. All
of us at FEDA extend our deepest condolences to the family. There will be visitation on Sunday April 5th 2009 at the  Robert J. Sheehy
& Sons Funeral Home, 4950 W. 79th Street, Burbank IL 60459  from 2-9pm, and Bob will be laid to rest on Monday April 6th.As more
information becomes available, it will be posted here.  God Bless you Bob, may you Rest in Peace.
